Our feelings matter only because they are our feelings.

Fear is just a feelingHere is the problem with feelings, they come and go. They occur moment to moment and acting on them is an emotional response to something that has not been fully understood in terms of what “really” happened and what the most appropriate action required might be. Responding to fear we can become like reptiles, striking first and then discovering later the damages our fear-based actions have caused.

The feeling of fear.

Right now, in the world, people are being asked how they feel. It’s a constant question “do you feel less safe then you did last week” and asking the question in reverse (do you feel safer) does nothing other than to increase fear. Our fears lead to a kind of paranoia that has us look at people we don’t know as “the other”. Fear can lead us to the belief that they are out to take our stuff, as little or as great as we might have. We can look at recent history and see how much fear has allowed us to abandon what it is that we say we stand for.

Our Principles

Your feelings belong to you and what you do with them is up to you, just don’t let fear be your only focus.
